CRYSTAL SANDS POOL AND JACUZZI RULES ****************************************************************************************************

I really don’t like rules. However, it seems that even the most obvious safe practices escape some individuals. So, here’s my attempt at protecting those people.

Infractions of these rules may be cause for eviction without a refund.

Pool area is defined as the space enclosed by wooden fence that encloses the pool and Jacuzzi.

No one is allowed within 10 feet of the pool equipment. There is no reason for anyone to be in that area. Should you require pool assistance, please call Scott or Cathy. They will help solve any problem you encounter in a timely manner.

Pool access gates have childproof locks and gates are self closing. Florida law states that gates are not to be held open by artificial means (propped open). Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times when in the pool area.

Pool hours are from 10am to 10PM EST. Should you like to move your twelve-hour window in either direction, you need to let Scott or Cathy know in advance. Although we have only a few neighbors, noise levels must be kept to a minimum after dark and pool must closed by 11:00 PM EST.

During cooler times of the year, a solar cover will be placed on the pool and Jacuzzi water after the pool closes. The solar cover floats on the water surface will not support any weight. If you step on the cover, drowning may occur. Therefore, the gates to the pool area will be locked. No one will be allowed in the pool area during those times.

The Jacuzzi will be heated for a maximum of two consecutive hours per day. You may choose those two hours.

People suffering from excessive alcohol consumption are not allowed in the pool area. Everyone entering the pool area must be aware of the inherent hazards of pool and Jacuzzi use and must be able to make reasonable and sound decisions regarding pool area behavior.

This pool is a sports pool. At each end, the water depth is approximately 3½’. At the midline of the pool, the water depth is approximately 5’. Water depth does not allow for safe diving or jumping into the pool.

Access to the pool water is from the North and South side via steps and ladder. Access from the East side of the pool where the dolphins are located is prohibited. Likewise, dolphins are for decoration only and should not be touched.

We love our pets. However, they are not allowed to enter the pool or Jacuzzi water for sanitary reasons. If pet hair is found in the pool filters, a $500 water replacement, pool and filter cleaning fee will be charged.

If you want the pool to be heated above the unheated temperature, a propane reading will be taken when you arrive and when you leave. The controls will be set at the temperature you desire. The pool will be heated to that temperature and you will be responsible for all used propane costs.

Jacuzzi water temperature will not exceed 100 degrees F. for your safety. Maximum safe water temperature should be established by your medical practitioner based upon your health limitations. Let us know if you want the Jacuzzi temperature set lower. Persons who have high blood pressure, skin sensitivities, or might be pregnant are strongly urged to consult a physician prior to use. Observe reasonable time limits (10 – 15 minutes) to avoid nausea, dizziness and fainting. Should you experience any of these symptoms, carefully exit the Jacuzzi immediately.

Do not use or allow the pool/Jacuzzi to be used alone. Minors under the age of 18 shall not utilize the Pool/Jacuzzi unsupervised. Unsupervised use by children is strictly prohibited. Never leave children unattended in the vicinity of the pool area

If you choose to add foaming bubbles, chemicals, soaps, bath oils or any other substance to the pool or Jacuzzi water, you will pay for replacement water (17,000 gallons) and all professional cleaning charges that are incurred to remove the substance. Should a subsequent renter loose pool access time because of the cleaning process, you will be charged accordingly.

Absolutely no candles (floating or any type) or electrical appliances are allowed in the pool area. We recommended that jewelry should be removed prior to entering the pool area. Water chemicals may harm jewelry, color-treated hair and some swimsuit material.

You understand that there will be no reduction in rental fees if the Jacuzzi, pool or golf cart are unused during your stay or unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control. We pledge to do everything reasonable to make those amenities available to you and as quickly as possible.
